Glass Marble Magnets

Our crafty mom-of-the-week and designer of these beautiful glass marble magnets is Catherine, owner of The Purple Pear!

Catherine writes, "In between play dates, trips to the park and diaper changes, crafting became my creative outlet. I love creating products with vivid colors and fun patterns. Making glass marble magnets fits that creative need, and it meshes well with the schedule that toddler care requires."

From Southern New Jersey, Catherine is a wife and mommy to two girls, though her second daughter is due to arrive on June 2nd. She is a busy, pregnant stay-at-home mom who is a former kindergarten teacher. Every teacher knows the importance of a good strong magnet, right?

Each little round glass magnet is its own little "dot", ready to bring happiness to your kitchen or office. We love dots...so we love these magnets to perk up our home. You may have noticed the gorgeous designer Amy Butler fabrics Catherine uses to create her magnets. She even has Amy Butler fabric push pins and paper clips too!

We love the pink and green paisley fabric behind this set of glass marbles (who is the designer, anyone?):

And for moms of boys and moms with French Country blue kitchens, Catherine has created this cool blue magnets set (only $7.00 each):

The Purple Pear donates a portion of all sales to various charities too. We love that her products bring beauty to our home and office, but we also love to support fellow moms in business.
Catherine reminded me of this great Bible verse that she lives and works by:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3: 5-7

Be thinking of Catherine and her little shop, The Purple Pear, on June 2nd with the arrival of daughter number two. We may be seeing a lot more PINK magnets in her shop around that time!
