Whimsy Couture Sewing Pattern Giveaway

You can learn how to make this...

...or this...

...or this!
Whimsy Couture owner and talented seamstress Denise would like to give one Polka Dot Mom reader her choice of THREE sewing pattern tutorials (e-books).
Just in time for your fall and winter sewing projects, Denise has created new pant, romper, jacket and long-sleeve sewing patterns for us!
This giveaway ends Thursday, October 22, 2009.
Here are four ways to win (please leave a separate comment for each entry):
  1. Are you a Polka Dot Mom follower?
  2. Are you a Whimsy Couture blog follower?
  3. Tell Denise the TOP 3 things you are looking for when you purchase a sewing pattern e-book. What can an e-book author do to make you a satisfied customer?
  4. Add Whimsy Couture to your favorite Etsy sellers.

Make sure I can find your e-mail address too!

Good luck!

  6. The top 3 things I look for in an e-pattern are: good, clear instructions with pictures; patterns that are well drafted and that I can print without scaling or messing around with my printer; and ideas/instructions with options for customizing the piece or making different varieties of the item. I look at buying a pattern as an investment - I want it to be something I can use again and again and have fun making.

  115. What do I look for in an excellent, e-book pattern:

    1. Definetly the option forp a range of sizing with fabric measurements. My daughter is currently 2 and if I like the style I would like the option to make the outfit as she grows.

    2. The most important thing for me is, i'm a total visual person and the clearity of precise of the pictures to the instructions is very important. Almost like written for a beginner in mind.

    3. For me the pattern being in PDF format is essential for organizational purposes. :)

Thanks again for offering a well written pattern! :) Look forward to buying more of your work!! :)

  129. What I like in an e-pattern:

    1. simple, precise directions that can be printed out without using a ton of printer ink. Pictures are great, but it would be good to have a quick set of instructions that could be printed in only black ink in a page or two so I can carry them with me into the sewing room without having to take my laptop.
    2. actual pattern pieces are a real plus.
    3. yardage requirements for all sizes.

Another big plus is the permission to sell from the pattern. While, I haven't done any actual selling, it's nice to have that option open for my someday dreams...
