Crafty moms on Etsy have come together this weekend creating handmade treasures for the Cora Paige "Build Her Playground" Fund.
Cora's story has touched so many through their family blog. Her mom kept an online journal of her sweet daughter Cora's first year. When you read previous posts, you see sweet Cora playing with her family and friends in countless photos. You can read about her first Christmas and how she was sick with three ear infections in a row, and how her parents Joel and Jess couldn't understand why she had been sick so much. Then read about a doctor's appointment in January that will break your heart, and see the next three weeks of this family's struggle as they tried to heal Cora in the hospital. Then one last post from Cora's mommy, "Cora is with Jesus today."
Every blog entry from this family ended with a Bible verse, then a list of the day's "Praises" and "Prayer Requests".
As you read Cora's family blog, you will be inspired. You will cry. You will want to hug your kids a little tighter. And I hope you will pray for Joel and Jess, as that is all they ask.
This verse is from her most recent post on the Cora's Playground site:
"My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:15-16

Sometimes I "pop" in to Etsy and something on the front page catches my eye and I just have to share it with you!

I cannot remember which of her items was on the front page, because once inside her shop I started clicking around so frantically and loving every single item I opened!

My youngest daughter is home sick today and sleeping next to me on the couch. She is such a light sleeper that I dare not move her to her room.
