Back to School Bag Tags

Ummm...this polka dot apple bag tag is over-the-top CUTE!

Handmade by Kori of Sunny Day Tags, a busy Indiana mom of two little girls. Kori loves to create.

She writes, "My grandmother is a tole painter and seamstress and can make just about anything, even at 85! I used to love spending weeks at her house in the summer, we would sew, make boxes and beads and sometimes paint. I have followed in her foot steps, and bag tags are my specialty."

For your back-to-school backpacks, soccer bags, dance totes and lunchboxes, Kori is running a Buy 2, Get 1 Free special on any of her personalized bag tags. Pick any two designs (they are all cute), then pick a third design for free!

All of Sunny Day Tags' products are handmade by Kori. She sells stationery gifts that compliment her bag tags too.

Bag tags are made out of 10 mil plastic, the sturdiest and thickest on the market, and measure 2.5" x 4.25". The colors of any design may be changed AND her tags are double-sided for contact information on the front and the back.

This chocolate and orange polka dot bag tag reminds me of fall, but can be made with a pink, blue, hot pink, green or white center too.

This Buy 2, Get 1 Free special runs only through August 1st (tomorrow!), but tell Kori that Polka Dot Mom sent you and she may squeeze you in. :)
Are you ready for your kids to go back-to-school?

A little bit more about this crafty mom in business:

Wendy writes, "I am a mother of four, three girls ages 2, 3, and 5 and one little boy (age 1). I stay home with my babies, and we spend our days playing outside, reading books, and making crafts! Oh, and changing lots of diapers! Before I stayed home, I was a 6th grade math teacher. I always entered tons of art contests during the school years, and I am an avid scrapbooker."

"I began making stationery by creating invitations for my kids' parties. After so much encouragement from friends and family, my husband and I decided to start our own business. We launched our company, Duck Duck Goose Designs, this summer! We specialize in personalized invitations, announcements, gift tags, and other paper goodies. We also make adorable printed tshirts that coordinate with our paper goodies."

Don't you love this pink scallop monogram address sticker? I want it!

Wendy also makes party favor stickers and any if you just LOVE one particular design, she can turn it into any of these creations:

Have a great weekend, Moms!

Live from Alabama!

The ladies at A Drop in the Bucket are helping me announce that Polka Dot Mom is back - blogging from Sweet Home Alabama!

Thanks to each of you for your sweet comments and e-mails. I am so sorry to have been away so long. Moving is always harder than you think it's going to be, isn't it?

We have been in our house for a week now and I just finished the girls' bedroom today. One room is finally free of boxes. Okay, make that two rooms if you count their bathroom.

My goal is to have all the boxes unpacked by August 1st when we go back for a weekend-visit to Nashville for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. Plus my oldest will be starting kindergarten around August 12th. Whoa.

So, I am trying to get back to my work and blogging routines. I have hated to be away so long, but have been spending lots of time with my girls to help ease the transition. Not to mention the "fun" it has been to just have the internet installed. We are all doing well and getting to know our new town. We even had a wonderful dinner with some family members whom we had never met. Fabulous!

While I have been unpacking and shopping around for my daughter's "strawberry" themed 3rd birthday party, I found these:

You can find these polka dot candles inside my new favorite party shop, Bake it Pretty. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, the owner Amanda is super sweet (yes, just like her cupcakes).

Be back tomorrow with some great new Polka Dot Moms!
